Where FastDemocracy is stronger

  • A free plan. You can track Arkansas bills on FastDemocracy for free, with daily email alerts and a mobile app. StateGov does not publish its plans.
  • Prices you can see. FastDemocracy publishes its Professional prices. StateGov does not publish prices.
  • Whip lists today. Its whip lists are a Professional feature available now. The Whip is still in build.
  • Every state. If you work outside Arkansas, FastDemocracy covers it. StateGov does not.
  • Outreach tools. It offers click-to-email advocacy campaigns, client reports with scheduled auto-reports, and live links to priority bills. StateGov does not offer these.

Where StateGov is different

  • Arkansas only. StateGov is built for one Legislature, with its committees, floor calendars, interim meetings and fiscal sessions. The Whip knows the Arkansas majorities: 51 in the House and 18 in the Senate.
  • A member's day. The Gavel opens on one page for a member and their staff: today's committees with the room and posted agenda, the floor calendar for both chambers, and where each of their bills stands.
  • Hearing video in chapters. Recorded hearings open split by agenda item, so you can skip to the part you missed.
  • The public record, linked. Every line links to the bill, agenda or video it came from. The Gavel does not take positions, rank bills or predict votes.
  • One job per app. The Gavel is for members and staff, The Whip is for lobbying teams, and The Docket is for residents.
  • Built in Arkansas. StateGov is a lab run by Natural State Intelligence, in Arkansas.
